- People whose work with their current therapist would be enhanced by receiving psychological assessment.
- People needing an assessment for a disability accomodation at school or work related to cognitive problems, learning disabilities, ADD, or psychological difficulties.
- People who've been ordered by the court to obtain a psychological evaluation and who are of limited means.
If you feel as if you've wanted to work on personal change but haven't been able to locate low-cost therapy, then FCTP may be able to assist you. Please contact us to set up an intake appointment with one of the therapists.
Are there people you don't work with?
Yes. Because this is a training clinic located in a private practice, we have some criteria that people must meet in order for us to competently serve them.
- We don't offer crisis intervention services, nor are the therapists available after work hours or on weekends for emergency services. If you think that you'll need a therapist who can offer this level of care we aren't the best place for you.
- We don't offer case management. If you know that you need lots of assistance with such problems as housing and access to services, then a publicly funded community mental health agency is more suited to your needs.
- We cannot prescribe medications, although we will work with your health care provider to consult about medications if you and your therapist determine that these are needed.
- We cannot see clients who are under the age of 16.
- We do not work with clients who are actively abusing drugs or alcohol.
