OFFICE POLICIES
Appointments
Psychotherapy appointments are usually 45-50 minutes in length, except for intake appointments, which will last two hours. Our standard fee is $45 for a 45-50 minute session of psychotherapy. We request that you come prepared to pay your fee at each session unless you have made another arrangement in advance with your therapist.
In some cases lower fees can be made available after discussion with a staff member at the time of intake. However all of our staff and supervisors volunteer their time to FCTP and we rely solely on client fees in order to meet our operating expenses. If you become able to pay more, or need to pay less, than you have arranged with your therapist, please discuss this with her or him at the next opportunity.
FCTP staff members are providers with the Washington State Crime Victims Compensation Program and their services can be reimbursed by CVCP if you are registered with that program. Some FCTP staff are also able to bill for services to Medicare. Please mention that you need a therapist who can bill if you are covered by one of these programs.
Psychological evaluations, including interviews, testing, and report writing, have a base cost of $500. If your evaluator believes that your assessment process may be unusually long or complex, she or he will discuss with you any need for a slight increase in that base fee. We accept all major credit cards as payment for assessments.
We request that you give us 24 hours notice of cancellation if you cannot attend your session; our voicemail will time and date stamp your cancellation call. Psychotherapy clients who no-show twice in a row without timely cancellation may not have further appointments made.
Because this is a training clinic, your therapist will make an audio recording of each session so that she or he can receive supervision. All recordings will be destroyed at the end of each week after review by your therapist.
